You control a small wand at the bottom of the screen, shooting colored bubbles upward to match groups of three or more of the same shade. The main goal is to clear each screen of bubbles before they descend and trap you. Key mechanics include the ability to bank shots off the side walls for tricky angles and a timer that slowly pushes the entire bubble mass downward, adding tension. The pacing is methodical at first but quickly becomes frantic as the ceiling lowers.
