Play Magician (Beta) Online
You're a wizard who bends the game's own rules—turn enemies into frogs, teleport through walls, and sometimes watch your spells backfire gloriously. It's messy, unpredictable, and weirdly charming for it.

Magician (Beta) is an unreleased NES game that never saw an official cartridge release. It was developed by Eurocom and would have been published by Taxan, placing it among the many exploratory action titles that filled the console's library in the late 1980s. It exists now only through prototype ROMs, a curious piece of unfinished business from that era.
You control a robed magician navigating a side scrolling fantasy world. Your main goal is to rescue a kidnapped princess by progressing through castles and caverns. Your primary tools are a variety of spells, which you collect and assign to the controller's buttons; these range from offensive fireballs to more experimental magic that can transform enemies or let you teleport short distances. The game is known for its high difficulty and sometimes unpredictable mechanics, where a miscast spell can easily harm you instead of your foes. Playing it feels like cautiously experimenting with unstable powers in a world that doesn't forgive mistakes.
