Game Overview
Magician Lord is one of those old-school arcade games that looks simple at first—until you realize how brutal it can be. You play as this blue-robed wizard who starts off tossing weak little fireballs, but before long you're transforming into a dragon, a ninja, or even a weird armored knight to deal with the nonstop waves of enemies. The levels get wild fast—one minute you're in a castle, next thing you know you're dodging lava pits or fighting floating eyeball monsters.
It's got that classic Neo Geo difficulty where you'll die a lot, but the transformations and spell upgrades keep it interesting. Just don't expect to beat it in one sitting unless you're some kind of arcade wizard yourself. The music's cheesy in the best way, and the pixel art still holds up surprisingly well.
