Mario & Sonic at the Vancouver Olympics on DS is basically a winter sports party with all your favorite characters. You’ve got Mario doing figure skating, Sonic speed skating—it’s as ridiculous and fun as it sounds. The events are quick arcade-style bursts, like bobsledding by furiously tapping the screen or timing jumps perfectly in ski jumping. Some events work better than others (curling’s weirdly addictive once you get the hang of it).

It’s not super deep, but the charm is in the little details—Bowser wiping out on the halfpipe, or Tails struggling with ski controls. Perfect for short bursts when you just want something lighthearted. The Japanese version has a few extra events too, if you’re into that.
