Play Megaman & Bass Online
Pick Mega Man for steady shots and boss weapons or Bass for speed and chaos—either way, you'll die to some devious spikes while fighting robot pirates and tank dudes. The GBA pixels and music stick with you between rage-quits.

Capcom released Mega Man & Bass on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, a time when the handheld was packed with ports and original titles trying to capture the feel of older consoles. This game is actually an enhanced version of a Japan-only Super Famicom title, so it carries that 16-bit design sensibility, with big, detailed sprites and stages that demand careful navigation.
You choose to play as either Mega Man, with his reliable buster shot and ability to use weapons stolen from defeated Robot Masters, or Bass, who is faster, can dash in mid-air, and uses a rapid-fire spread shot. The main goal is to stop the new villain King by fighting through themed stages, defeating eight Robot Masters, and collecting Data CDs hidden in precarious spots. The game is known for its screen-by-screen exploration, where you often need to stop and assess environmental hazards, and its demanding platforming that requires precise jumps and quick reactions. It's a difficult game, with enemy placements and bottomless pits that will test your patience, but finally clearing a tough section after multiple attempts feels genuinely rewarding. The flow of play is tense and deliberate, making every successful dash or well-aimed shot count.
