Game Overview
MegaMania on the Atari 2600 is like Space Invaders got weird after eating some questionable space snacks. Instead of aliens, you're blasting hamburgers, floating irons, and dice that look like they escaped from a cosmic casino. Your little ship at the bottom of the screen feels hilariously outmatched by this parade of random objects.
The first wave starts slow—just a few bow ties drifting down—but soon the screen fills with so many diamonds and burgers that you'll panic-shoot more than you'd like to admit. The energy meter drains fast if you're careless, so picking your shots matters more than you'd think. I still can't decide if the steam irons are the most ridiculous or terrifying enemies.
It's the kind of game where you'll fail spectacularly, laugh, and immediately hit reset to try again.
