Game Overview
Mega Man 4 picks up right after the mess with Dr. Wily—except this time, some new guy named Dr. Cossack rolls in from Russia, bragging about his robot army and basically daring Dr. Light to stop him. So yeah, Mega Man’s back on the job.
The big change here? The Mega Buster. Finally, after three games of just tapping the shoot button, you can hold it down to charge up a massive plasma shot. It feels so good to blast through enemies with that thing—though some of the Robot Masters still make you work for it. The levels are as punishing as ever, but that moment when you finally crack a boss’s pattern? Pure satisfaction.
Also, Proto Man shows up randomly to mess with you, which is either cool or annoying depending on how many times he’s wrecked your run. Classic Mega Man, basically.
