MegaMan Battle Network 3 White Version is one of those GBA games that just sticks with you. You play as Lan and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, running around a world where the internet is this crazy 3D battleground—think hacking, but with way more explosions. The combat’s this weird mix of real-time action and deck-building; you’re dodging attacks while frantically picking chips to counter whatever’s coming at you. It’s chaotic in the best way.
White Version’s got its own set of exclusive chips and Souls (basically power-ups that change MegaMan’s abilities mid-fight), so if you’ve played Blue, it’s not just a palette swap. The story’s surprisingly deep for a GBA RPG, and the post-game has this ridiculous amount of extra bosses and secrets if you’re into that. I spent way too long hunting down every last chip.
It’s the kind of game where you lose track of time because you keep saying, “Okay, one more battle.” The combat just clicks once you get the hang of it.
