You control Lan and his NetNavi MegaMan, exploring both the real world and the cyber network in a mix of top-down exploration and grid-based battles. The main goal is to stop a sinister organization from taking over the net, which involves investigating areas, talking to characters, and diving into network dungeons. Combat happens on a split field where you dodge attacks in real time while selecting Battle Chips from a custom folder to counter enemies; you also get to recruit defeated Navis to use their abilities later. The pacing is brisk, with a good mix of puzzle solving and tense fights that can get pretty challenging in later areas. It feels strategic and fast, like you're always thinking one step ahead.
