MegaMan Battle Network 5 - Double Team DS is basically two games in one cart—Team Colonel and Team Protoman—so you get way more bang for your buck. The whole thing plays out in this weird hybrid of turn-based strategy and real-time action where you’re dodging attacks while lining up your own counter moves. At first, the battle system feels a little chaotic, but once you get the rhythm of swapping chips mid-fight, it clicks.
What’s cool is how much personality the world has. You’re not just fighting viruses—you’re jacking into vending machines, solving dumb little puzzles, and dealing with NPCs who actually have goofy dialogue. And yeah, the multiplayer’s there if you’ve got a friend who’s into it, but honestly, I just vibed with the single-player story. The DS version adds some touchscreen stuff, but it’s mostly the same solid Battle Network formula.
