Mello Yello Q*bert is that weird little arcade game where you hop around a pyramid of cubes, changing their colors while these bouncing snake things try to knock you off. It sounds simple, but the controls take a second to click—you’re moving diagonally, which feels odd at first. Then suddenly you’re in the zone, frantically hopping to dodge enemies and reset cubes before they turn back.

The colors are aggressively bright (in a good way), and the sound effects are straight out of an old arcade—lots of boops and bloops. It’s the kind of game where you lose three lives in two minutes, mutter "one more try," and then realize half an hour’s gone by. If you’ve got a soft spot for retro chaos, this one’s a time machine in the best way.
