Midnight Club: Street Racing came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Rebellion and published by Rockstar Games. This one tried something a little different, bringing a 3D-style perspective to the small screen.

You control a street racer moving through cities like London and New York, trying to win events and earn respect. The main goal is to beat rival racers across various modes, including circuit races and checkpoint challenges. Key mechanics include weaving through traffic to maintain speed, using nitro boosts at critical moments, and learning the map layouts to find shortcuts. The pacing is fast, and the traffic can make things unpredictable; it’s not an easy game to master. Driving feels responsive, and pulling off a tight drift between two buses gives a genuine rush.
