Mirai Ninja came out in the arcades in 1988 from Namco. It was part of that wave of late 80s games trying to blend side scrolling action with a futuristic, almost cyberpunk aesthetic. You control a ninja in a powered suit, moving screen by screen through industrial and natural environments. Your main goal is to rescue a princess from a villain, a classic setup. The game is known for its fast, sometimes unforgiving pace; enemies come from all directions and the platforming requires precise jumps.
