Play Mixed-Up Mother Goose (1990) Online
Wander through a broken storybook world where nursery rhymes are scrambled—put Humpty back together, return Little Bo Peep’s sheep, and fix the mess before bedtime. Chunky pixel art and no deadly consequences make it feel like playing in a digital pop-up book.

I first played Mixed-Up Mother Goose on MS-DOS back in the early 90s, a time when Sierra On-Line was putting out a lot of adventure titles. This one stood out because it was aimed at a younger audience, but it had that same point-and-click charm. You're basically walking into a storybook where all the nursery rhyme characters have lost their important items, and nothing makes sense until you help.
You control a small child, moving from screen to screen across a colorful map, clicking to walk and interact with objects and characters. The main goal is to find and return each missing item to its owner, like the cow that jumped over the moon or the dish that ran away with the spoon. You explore different themed areas, talk to characters for hints, and collect things in your inventory. The pacing is relaxed; there's no timer or way to fail, so you can take your time figuring out where everything belongs. It feels like solving a gentle, interactive puzzle at your own speed.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
