Play Mr. Driller (Japan) Online
You're Susumu in a tiny helmet, drilling down as colored blocks collapse around you—one wrong move and you're buried alive or gasping for air. The cheerful music somehow makes the panic even better.

Game Overview
Mr. Driller on the Game Boy Color is one of those games that looks simple until you're five layers deep, sweating over your oxygen meter. You play as Susumu—this little guy in a helmet—drilling straight down through blocks, trying not to get crushed or run out of air. The trick? Matching colors clears chunks away, but if you dig too greedily, you'll end up trapped under a pile of rubble. It's chaotic, but in that good way where you keep saying "okay, one more try" at 2 AM.
The GBC version somehow makes block-destruction feel satisfying with its chunky pixels and that weirdly cheerful Mr. Driller vibe. Even when you're seconds from suffocating, the music stays weirdly upbeat. It's the kind of game you can pick up for five minutes and suddenly lose an hour to. Just don't blame me when you start seeing colored blocks in your sleep.
