Play Mr. Driller Online
Dig straight down through collapsing blocks, racing your dwindling oxygen—grab air pickups in a panic, but don’t get crushed by your own messy drilling.

I first played Mr. Driller on the Game Boy Color back in 1999, a time when puzzle games were everywhere on portables. It was developed by Namco, the same company behind Pac-Man, but this was something completely different. It didn't try to be flashy; it was just a solid, clever idea built for quick sessions on the go.
You control a little driller, Susumu or one of the other characters, and your only job is to go down. The goal is to reach a target depth before your oxygen runs out. The main mechanics are simple: you drill through colored blocks, and matching four of the same color makes them vanish. The real tension comes from managing your air supply; you have to constantly hunt for oxygen capsules while avoiding getting buried by the blocks collapsing above you. The pace is relentless, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as the blocks get tougher and the air drains faster. It feels like a constant, tense race against yourself.
