Game Overview

Mr. Goemon is this old-school arcade side-scroller where you play as a cheeky 16th-century outlaw—basically Japan’s answer to Robin Hood, but with way more pipes and random objects to whack enemies with. You’ll be jumping on heads, swinging a pipe like it’s nobody’s business, and occasionally hurling a cat statue (because why not?).

The enemies don’t kill you outright—instead, they grab you, and you’ve got to frantically wiggle free before they gang up. There’s something weirdly satisfying about plowing through them when you grab that glowing invincibility power-up, though. No timer on screen, but the faster you finish a level, the more points you rack up. And yeah, it’s one of those games where dying means starting all over, so no pressure.

It’s simple, chaotic, and just the right amount of janky for an arcade classic. You’ll either love the challenge or rage-quit after the third life.
