Game Overview

Mystery Mansion on the DS is one of those games that hooks you with its weirdly cozy yet unsettling vibe. You start off wandering through this massive, half-abandoned mansion—dusty furniture, flickering lights, the works—and before long, you're poking at everything, trying to figure out why the heck there's a locked door with a riddle carved into it. The puzzles are just the right kind of frustrating, where you feel dumb for five minutes before the solution clicks.

What I like is how it doesn’t hold your hand. You’ll find notes scribbled on scraps of paper, weird symbols hidden in paintings, and half the time you’re not sure if you’re solving a puzzle or just overthinking a decoration. The story unfolds in bits and pieces, and by the time you realize what’s really going on, you’re already too deep to walk away. If you’ve got a soft spot for old-school point-and-click adventures with a creepy twist, this one’s a solid pick.
