Naruto: Ninja Council 3 finally brings the series to the DS, and it’s way better than the last one. Instead of just three characters, you get 27—Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, plus a bunch of others from the show. The missions actually feel like stuff from the anime, which is cool if you’re into that.

You’ll spend most of your time swiping the stylus to pull off jutsu or blowing into the mic to power up attacks (yes, really). Some moves take practice, but it’s satisfying once you nail them. The stages mix things up—some need brute force, others stealth, so you can’t just spam the same character every time.

Multiplayer’s where it shines, though. Four players can battle wirelessly in modes like scroll collecting or straight-up fights. It gets chaotic fast, especially when everyone’s spamming special moves. Single-player’s fun, but the versus mode is what kept me and my friends hooked.

If you ever wanted to fling kunai with the touch screen or argue over who gets to play as Gaara, this is your game.
