Game Overview

Naruto: Ninja Destiny II on the DS is basically a portable version of those flashy, over-the-top fights from the anime. You pick your favorite characters—I always ended up with Rock Lee for his ridiculous speed—and duke it out in these quick, combo-heavy battles. The touch screen actually comes in handy for pulling off jutsu, though I’ll admit it took me a few tries to stop fumbling the Rasengan.

What’s cool is how each fighter feels distinct—Shikamaru’s shadow traps play totally differently from, say, Gaara’s sand attacks. The AI isn’t pushover-level either, especially once you crank up the difficulty. Just don’t expect a deep story mode; it’s more about jumping straight into fights with a buddy or against the CPU. Perfect for bus rides when you need to unleash some imaginary ninja rage.
