Game Overview

If you're into Naruto and still rocking a DS, this one's a solid pick. You start off with basic ninja moves—throwing kunai, dodging attacks—but pretty soon you're pulling off wild jutsu combos that actually feel like the anime. The levels mix side-scrolling brawls with some light platforming, and the boss fights (especially against Akatsuki members) get surprisingly intense for a handheld game.

What I like is that it doesn't just rehash the same old story—you get original missions that expand on the Shippuden era. The chakra management keeps fights from being button-mashy, and switching between Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi keeps things varied. Graphics are decent for a DS title, though some of the voice clips repeat way too often.

Definitely better than some of the other Naruto DS games floating around.
