Night Stalker came out in 1982 for MS-DOS Classic Games, published by Mattel Electronics. It was one of those early titles that made you appreciate how much tension you could build with simple graphics and sound. The game didn't try to dazzle you with color or complex stories; it just dropped you into a maze and let the dread set in.

You control a small, blocky character trapped in a dark maze filled with patrolling robots. Your goal is to survive as long as possible, shooting the robots with a pistol that only holds three bullets at a time. When you shoot one, it drops a new gun, so you have to keep moving and pick up weapons while avoiding being cornered. The robots get faster and more numerous the longer you last, which keeps the pressure high. It feels like a tense game of cat and mouse where every decision matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
