Game Overview

Man, Ninja Commando on Neo Geo is pure old-school chaos—like someone took a 90s arcade cabinet and distilled it into pure adrenaline. You pick one of three ninjas (I always go for the dude with the shurikens) and just start blasting through waves of enemies. No fancy cutscenes, no deep lore—just you, your reflexes, and a ridiculous amount of things exploding.

The controls are stupidly simple—run, jump, shoot—but the game throws so much at you that it never feels easy. Helicopters drop troops, ninjas pop out of nowhere, and bosses take up half the screen. There’s even a two-player mode if you want to drag a friend into the madness. And yeah, the graphics are pixelated, but in that chunky, satisfying way where every explosion feels like it has weight.

It’s the kind of game where you die a lot, but each run only takes like 20 minutes, so you just grit your teeth and jump back in. If you miss when games were loud, fast, and didn’t overthink things, this one’s a blast.
