Once Upon A Time: Abracadabra came out as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I don't recall the developer offhand. It was one of those early 90s adventure titles that relied on charm and simple mechanics rather than flashy graphics, fitting right in with the era's point-and-click experiments.

You control a young wizard tasked with brewing potions to solve problems and progress through the story. The main goal is to gather ingredients, combine them correctly, and use the resulting concoctions on characters or objects in each scene. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration, an inventory system for holding items like frog eyes and dried herbs, and a trial-and-error approach to potion mixing. The pacing is deliberate, almost slow, with a difficulty that comes more from obscure logic than reflexes. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
