Game Overview

One Must Fall 2097 is this weirdly addictive DOS fighting game where you pilot giant robots called HARs—basically, corporate-sponsored death machines. You pick from eleven different mechs and ten pilots, each with their own quirks—some are fast but fragile, others hit like a truck but move like one too. The arenas aren’t just pretty backdrops, either. Spikes shoot out of the dark in one stage, and another has this industrial crusher thing that’ll wreck you if you’re not careful.

There’s a goofy but fun story mode where you’re fighting for a promotion (because of course the future runs on office politics), but the real meat is the tournament mode. You earn cash to upgrade your bot, and if you pull off the brutal "destruction" moves on higher difficulties, sometimes a mystery challenger shows up. Beat them, and you might snag secret parts that totally change how your HAR plays—like turning a basic laser into a screen-clearing death beam.

It’s janky in that classic ‘90s way, but the sheer variety of robots and the risk-reward of hunting for upgrades makes it way deeper than it looks at first glance. Just don’t get too attached to your first HAR—things get messy fast.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
