Play Code Lyoko - Fall of X.A.N.A. (E)(EXiMiUS) Online
Switch between the real world and Lyoko, solve puzzles, chat with friends, and battle X.A.N.A. using each character's unique skills in this 2008 Nintendo DS adventure.
Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A. came out in 2008 for the Nintendo DS, developed by The Game Factory. It was part of that wave of mid-2000s licensed games, trying to capture the show's blend of school drama and sci-fi action on a handheld. The DS hardware was perfect for the split between the real world and the virtual one.
You control the main Lyoko Warriors, switching between the school and the digital world of Lyoko. Your main goal is to stop X.A.N.A. by deactivating towers and protecting the school from its attacks. The gameplay splits into two parts: you explore the school in a top-down view, talking to characters and solving simple puzzles, then dive into Lyoko for side-scrolling combat. In Lyoko, you use each character's unique weapon, like Odd's bow for ranged attacks or Yumi's fans for close throws. The combat is straightforward but responsive, and the game moves at a steady pace, though some sections can feel repetitive. It feels like a solid, if unspectacular, attempt to bring the show's dual-world tension to life on the small screen.
