Play Oregon Trail II Online

Pick your crew, pack your wagon, and pray—you’ll be cursing river crossings and debating risky shortcuts before the first mountain pass. That hunting minigame? Still tense, but now winter actually kills you.

Game Overview

Oregon Trail II takes everything you remember from the original—the dysentery, the hunting, the constant fear of your oxen drowning—and cranks it up. You start by picking your job (banker’s easy mode, carpenter’s the sweet spot), then get thrown into planning a trip where everything that can go wrong probably will. I lost three people to a single river crossing once.

The hunting’s still there, but now you’ve got way more routes, seasons that actually matter (try crossing the Rockies in winter—I dare you), and these weirdly tense minigames like steering a raft through rapids. Sometimes you’ll trade with other travelers or argue about whether to take a shortcut, and half the time you’ll regret it. The historical details are nuts—steamboats show up if you pick a later year, and the trails shift based on real maps from the 1800s.

It’s still Oregon Trail, just with more ways to fail spectacularly. Bring extra wagon wheels.
