The main goal is to guide your group from Independence, Missouri to Oregon’s Willamette Valley, surviving hazards along the way. Key mechanics include hunting for food with a slightly refined aiming minigame, fording rivers where one wrong choice can wash away your oxen, and making critical choices at junctions that affect your travel time and safety. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
