Play Osiris Online
Explore ancient Egyptian ruins, uncover tomb secrets, solve puzzles, and survive dangers while carefully navigating chambers and battling creatures in this isometric action-adventure.
Osiris came out in 1996 for MS-DOS, developed by Mythos Games. It was part of that wave of isometric action-adventure titles that tried to do something a little different with perspective and puzzles, before 3D really took over. You explore ancient Egyptian ruins, and the whole thing has this quiet, methodical feel that stands out from faster-paced games of the time.
You control a lone adventurer delving into pyramid chambers and underground crypts. The goal is to uncover the secrets of the tomb and survive its many dangers. Movement is screen by screen; each new area might hide pressure plates, hidden switches, or enemies waiting in the shadows. Combat is straightforward, mostly involving timing your sword swings or avoiding creatures altogether. The pacing is slow, almost cautious, because mistakes are punishing and resources feel scarce. It feels like a tense, thoughtful excavation where every step forward is earned.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
