Paladin's Quest came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Copya System and published by Enix. It was part of that wave of mid-90s RPGs that experimented with mechanics and tone, offering something a little different from the usual fantasy epics of the time.

You control a young hero named Chezni, tasked with stopping a rampaging mechanical titan you accidentally awakened. The game uses a unique magic system where spells cost hit points instead of a separate mana pool, making every cast a calculated risk. Exploration is screen by screen, with turn based combat that allows you to hire mercenaries to bolster your party. The pacing is deliberate, and some sections can be quite difficult, demanding careful resource management. It feels tense and unpredictable, where even basic battles can turn on a risky spell or a well-timed ally command.
