Game Overview

Paladin’s Quest is one of those weird, moody SNES RPGs that sticks with you—mostly because it does things so differently. You play as Chezni, a magic student who stumbles into a forbidden tower and wakes up a 10,000-year-old machine. Oops. The world’s split between two continents, one already under the boot of a dictator, and your little field trip might’ve just made everything worse.

Combat’s first-person, turn-based, and brutal in the best way. No healing spells or potions—just these refillable "bottles" you top up in towns. Magic costs HP to cast, so every fight feels like a gamble. Characters specialize in elements (fire, water, etc.), and mixing them unlocks wild combos. Half the fun is stumbling into a new spell by accident and realizing it melts bosses.

It’s janky, kinda ugly, and the translation’s rough, but there’s something haunting about Lennus. You’ll remember the weird magic system long after the credits roll.
