Play Perry Mason - The Case of the Mandarin Murder Online

You play as Perry Mason, digging through witness lies and dodgy alibis to prove your client's innocence—takes actual note-taking and old-school detective work. The DOS-era voice acting's charmingly stiff, but catching someone in a lie feels legit rewarding.

Game Overview

Perry Mason: The Case of the Mandarin Murder came out in 1989, developed by Telarium for MS-DOS. It was part of that wave of early adventure games trying to bring a serious detective feel to the computer, back when most games were simpler arcade ports or text adventures. You don't get many games like this anymore; it really leaned into the idea of thinking your way through a mystery instead of just shooting things.

You control Perry Mason directly, moving from location to location in a point and click style to gather evidence and question witnesses. The main objective is to defend your client by finding the real killer, which means paying close attention to dialogue, collecting key items, and presenting the right evidence at the right time to break a suspect's story. The pacing is slow and deliberate, almost like reading a book, and the difficulty comes from missing a clue or failing to connect statements. It feels like doing actual investigative work, and when you finally corner the guilty party, the satisfaction is genuine.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
