Game Overview

Pinball Prelude on the Amiga is one of those pinball games that actually tries something different. Instead of just slapping neon lights and ramps everywhere, each table has its own vibe based on time periods. The first one’s all prehistoric—dinosaurs, weird rock formations, and honestly, half the time I wasn’t even sure what was a bumper and what was just scenery. The second table feels like a classic arcade machine, straightforward but solid. Then there’s the future table, which goes wild with five flippers (good luck keeping track of them all).

What really stands out is how the ball behaves—there’s a rubber one that bounces unpredictably, and the playfield scrolls if the ball rolls too far. Multi-ball in hi-res mode is chaos in the best way. It’s not just another pinball clone; it’s got personality, even if some of the tables take a minute to figure out.
