That level 5 Pikachu vs. level 5 Geodude matchup? Suddenly you’re sweating over every move. And good luck with your rival’s starter pick—it matters way more now.

Honestly, it’s the most fair (and slightly chaotic) way to replay FireRed. You’ll actually use Pokémon you’d normally ignore because nothing’s overleveled by default. Just don’t expect your Charizard to carry you this time.
