Game Overview

Okay, so imagine Pokémon but instead of gym battles, you're leading armies like some feudal warlord—because that's exactly what this weird, wonderful crossover is. You start off picking a warlord (I went with Nobunaga, obviously) and then recruit Pokémon as your troops. Yeah, Pikachu with a tiny sword is as ridiculous as it sounds, but it somehow works.

The battles play out like a mix of Fire Emblem and Pokémon, where positioning matters just as much as type matchups. At first, I kept losing because I just spammed my strongest moves, but turns out flanking enemies with flying types or setting up defensive lines with rock Pokémon actually matters. The overworld map has you capturing territories, managing resources, and occasionally running into familiar faces from both franchises—seeing a samurai version of Team Rocket made me laugh harder than it should have.

It’s definitely niche, but if you’ve ever wanted to see Charizard take down an entire battalion of historical figures, this is your game.
