Pokemon Sapphire Version came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. It was part of the third generation of Pokemon games, arriving when the GBA was still fairly new, offering a bigger world and more color than the older Game Boy titles. The game introduced a new region called Hoenn, filled with water routes and a different set of Pokemon to discover.

You play as a young trainer starting out in a small town, and your main goal is to collect eight gym badges, defeat the Elite Four, and become the Pokemon League Champion. You explore the world screen by screen, tall grass and all, catching wild Pokemon to build your team and battling other trainers you meet along the way. Two big additions in this version were double battles, where you fight with two Pokemon at once, and Pokemon Contests, which let you show off your Pokemon's style and moves in a different kind of competition. The pacing is steady, with some challenging moments, especially when dealing with certain gym leaders or navigating tricky areas like caves. It feels like a real adventure, building your team and seeing your Pokemon grow stronger with every battle.
