Play Pokemon Sweet Version Online

Pokemon Sweet Version is a weirdly charming GBA romhack where all the creatures are desserts. You start with a choice between candy-based starters, and the first route is full of things like cupcake Pidgeys and gummy bear Rattatas. The battles play out like normal Pokemon, but everything looks like it belongs in a bakery.

I got stuck for a while because I didn't realize some areas required specific sweet-type moves to progress, like melting ice barriers with fire attacks. The sprite work is surprisingly detailed—you can see little frosting swirls and sprinkles on the Pokemon as they move.

It's not the most balanced hack out there, but the novelty of fighting with dessert monsters makes Pokemon Sweet Version worth checking out.
