Game Overview
Pokémon Version Platine is basically the ultimate version of Diamond and Pearl—same Sinnoh region, but way more polished. You start off picking your starter (Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup, obviously) and then it’s the usual Pokémon loop—catch ‘em, train ‘em, battle gym leaders—but with way smoother pacing and some extra post-game stuff that makes it feel less rushed than the originals.
The graphics got a nice little bump, and the Pokédex actually includes more Pokémon this time, so you’re not stuck with the same handful of options early on. Also, the Distortion World section? Super weird in the best way. If you’ve played Diamond or Pearl, this is just a straight-up better version. If you haven’t, it’s probably the best way to experience Sinnoh.
Oh, and Cyrus is still an absolute drama queen, which never gets old.
