It’s not exactly complex—just left, right, and mash the attack button—but the charm’s in the details. Buttercup’s punches leave little fire trails, Bubbles’ scream makes enemies wobble like jelly, and Him shows up looking like a nightmare in red tights. The screen gets packed with enemies sometimes, and yeah, you’ll probably lose a life or two to cheap hits. But that final showdown with Him? Still feels satisfying 20 years later.
