Play Powerpuff Girls, The - Battle Him Online

Pick your Powerpuff Girl and brawl through Townsville—punch robots, dodge lasers, and deal with that one awkward jump section every GBC game had. The sprites look ripped from the cartoon, right down to Buttercup’s punchable scowl.

Game Overview

Remember those Saturday mornings glued to the TV watching Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup wreck havoc on Mojo Jojo? This Game Boy Color game lets you be the havoc. You pick your favorite sugar-powered kindergartener (I always went with Buttercup—that scowl means business) and side-scroll through Townsville punching robots, dodging laser beams, and occasionally getting stuck on weird platforming bits because, well, it is a late-90s licensed game.

The pixel art nails the show’s style—all big eyes and exaggerated punches—and the sound effects are straight out of the cartoon. It’s janky in that nostalgic way where sometimes you’ll take damage from an enemy you swear you dodged, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about uppercutting a monkey in a lab coat. If you played this as a kid, the music alone will teleport you back to 1999. Just don’t expect deep combat—this is pure button-mashing chaos with a side of nostalgia.

Perfect for short bursts when you need to relive the era of chunky handhelds and cartoon violence disguised as girl power. Now excuse me while I go hunt down Him’s creepy claw hands again.
