Game Overview

Radio Baseball was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though details about its developer or publisher are sparse. It arrived during a period when text-based simulations were common, offering a different kind of sports experience that relied more on imagination and quick decisions than graphical realism.

You act as the manager, calling pitches, swings, steals, and defensive shifts through simple keyboard commands. The main objective is to outscore your opponent over nine innings, with each play described in vivid text by an excitable announcer. Signature mechanics include choosing pitch types and locations, deciding when to swing or take a pitch, and managing your baserunners' aggression; the pacing is brisk, with outcomes hinging on split-second timing and a bit of luck. It feels like directing a chaotic, unpredictable game from the dugout, where every mistake is loudly celebrated by the commentary.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
