Play Radio Controlled Racer Online
Top-down racer with 8 circuits. Race solo or 2-player against AI. Features 4-lap races, hazardous ice patches, and instant results when leader finishes. Amiga, 1991.
Radio Controlled Racer came out on the Amiga in 1991, developed by Byte Back. It was one of those straightforward top-down racing games that felt right at home on the platform, offering a simple but competitive experience without a lot of fuss. You could race solo or go head-to-head with a friend, which made it a solid choice for quick sessions.
You control a small RC car from an overhead view, racing on one of eight different circuits. The goal is to complete four laps faster than the AI opponents or your human rival. The tracks have hazards like ice patches that send you sliding, and the race ends instantly when the leader finishes, so there's no waiting around. It moves at a brisk pace and can get pretty challenging on the later tracks. Driving feels responsive, and the short races keep you coming back for one more try.
