Game Overview

Oh man, Ranma Nibunnoichi - Gu Choki Ougi Jaanken—that name alone tells you this SNES game doesn't play by normal rules. Imagine taking rock-paper-scissors, injecting it with Ranma ½'s brand of chaos, and turning it into a full-blown fighting game where paper beats rock with a comically oversized slap.

You pick from the usual suspects—Ranma (both versions, obviously), Akane being her usual violent self, even Ryoga as a pig—and suddenly you're throwing out exaggerated martial arts moves based on hand signs. Scissors becomes a ridiculous leaping kick, rock turns into a hulking sumo stance, and paper? Paper's just an excuse to smack someone with a giant fan or newspaper.

The first time I played, I lost because I couldn't stop laughing at Kuno getting wrecked by a folding chair. It's janky, it's stupid, and it's 100% faithful to the series' vibe. Not deep, but man is it fun when you just want to mess around with friends.
