Rayman on MS-DOS is one of those classic platformers that looks cute but doesn’t hold back on the challenge. You start off in this dreamy forest, just running and jumping at first—until Betilla the Fairy hooks you up with your telescopic fist. That’s when things get fun. Punching enemies from a distance feels weirdly satisfying, especially when you figure out the timing for tougher baddies.

The levels are packed with little secrets and those trapped Electoons you’ve gotta free. Some cages are obvious, others hidden behind breakable walls or tucked away in spots you’d only find by experimenting. And those Tings? You’ll hoard them like crazy until you either lose them all to a dumb fall or finally cash in 100 for an extra life. The Magician’s bonus stages are worth the grind, though—if you can afford him.

Each world has its own vibe, from the musical weirdness of Band Land to the trippy colors of Picture City. Boss fights are no joke either—you’ll die a few times figuring out their patterns. And yeah, the helicopter hair move is as ridiculous as it sounds, but you’ll love it once you get the hang of gliding. Just don’t expect the water to be forgiving.

It’s one of those games where you’ll replay levels just to nail that perfect run. Mr. Dark won’t know what hit him.
