Play Robocop on GBC Online

Stomp through Delta City blasting gangsters in this top-down GBC shooter—just try not to hit civilians who keep wandering into your crossfire. Between missions, you’re back at the station getting patched up or chatting with Lewis like a cheesy episode of the show.

Game Overview

RoboCop on Game Boy Color, released in 2000 by Titus, was one of many licensed games that tried to capture the feel of a movie on the small screen. It arrived late in the system's life, a time when developers were pushing the hardware with more detailed sprites and deeper gameplay, even if the results were often mixed.

You control RoboCop from a top-down perspective, moving through the streets and buildings of a crime-ridden Detroit. Your main goal is to complete a series of missions by blasting criminals while carefully avoiding the panicked civilians who run directly into your line of fire. The game uses an auto-fire pistol, a limited supply of explosive rounds, and a health system that forces you back to the police station for repairs if you take too much damage. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially when you're trying to protect innocent bystanders from your own bullets. It feels like a tense, sometimes clumsy, attempt to translate the weight of the character into a straightforward action game.
