Play Robot Poncots - Moon Version (Japan) Online

You pick these expressive little mechs, tweak their parts between turn-based fights, and somehow end up delivering ramen to a robot chef—it’s weird in the best way. That lunar bot with crescent blades? Absolute chaos.

Game Overview

Okay, so Robot Poncots - Moon Version is one of those weird little Game Boy Color games that somehow makes robot battles feel both ridiculous and kind of brilliant. You start off picking your first Poncot—these tiny, oddly expressive mechs—and immediately notice how much personality they packed into the pixel art. The battles? Turn-based, but faster than you’d expect, with this satisfying clunk when your little bot lands a hit.

What hooked me was the upgrade system. You’re constantly tweaking parts, swapping weapons, and stumbling into bizarre side quests (one involves delivering ramen to a robot chef, because of course it does). The Moon Version has some exclusive bots—I went with this lunar-themed one that shoots crescent blades, which sounds ridiculous but actually wrecks in battles.

It’s got that late-’90s Japan-only charm: bright colors, chirpy music, and dialogue that’s either badly translated or intentionally surreal. If you’ve ever wished Pokémon had more wrench-throwing and less breeding, this is your jam.
