Play Saikyou - Takada Nobuhiko (Japan) Online
You mash buttons trying to pull off Takada’s kicks while the AI randomly switches between brain-dead and brutal—clunky, weird, and weirdly fun for it.

So this is one of those weird, early MMA games for the Super Famicom—back when no one really knew how to make a fighting game that felt like actual MMA. You play as Nobuhiko Takada, this pro wrestler who crossed over into shoot fighting, and honestly? The controls are clunky as hell, but there’s something charming about how janky it is. You’ve got punches, kicks, and even some grappling, but don’t expect smooth transitions—it’s more like a stiff karate game with occasional awkward takedowns.
First match in, I kept accidentally throwing knees when I meant to punch, and the AI either stands there like a training dummy or suddenly wrecks you with an unstoppable combo. The sprites are decent for ’95, though, and Takada’s got his signature kicks animated pretty well. If you’re into obscure fighting games or just want to see how early MMA games tried (and failed) to figure things out, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t go in expecting anything polished.
