Play Seaquest-gamecube Online
You're a tiny sub rescuing divers while sharks and enemy subs close in—every second counts as your oxygen ticks down, forcing risky last-second decisions.

Game Overview
Seaquest on the Atari 2600 is one of those games that looks simple until you’re three minutes in, sweating over your oxygen meter while enemy subs close in from all sides. You play as a tiny submarine—just a pixel or two, really—scooping up divers before they drown and dodging everything from mines to sharks. The deeper you go, the more divers appear, but your air runs out faster too, so you’re constantly weighing risk against reward.
What I love is how tense it gets when you’re low on air, debating whether to surface or grab one last diver. The controls are straightforward (joystick and one button), but the pacing is brutal in the best way. And those enemy patterns? They’re predictable until they’re not, which is when you start yelling at the screen. It’s pure arcade chaos from 1983, and it still holds up.
If you’ve got a soft spot for retro games that don’t coddle you, this one’s a must. Just don’t blame me when you lose track of time trying to beat your high score.
