Game Overview

Shin Megami Tensei on SNES starts with this eerie dream sequence—you're pulled into some twisted maze, meeting cryptic figures like a crucified man and a woman bathing in blood. Then bam, you wake up in 90s Tokyo, only to get a creepy computer message about the world ending. Next thing you know, there's a murder in your neighborhood, and suddenly you're handed a weird device that lets you talk to demons. Classic Tuesday.

Combat's first-person, turn-based, with this gnarly demon negotiation system where you actually have to sweet-talk mythical creatures into joining your party. Want a pixie? Better say the right things or it'll just laugh at you. Your choices actually matter too—side with Law, Chaos, or stay Neutral, and watch the story twist based on your decisions. Some demons won't even talk to you if your alignment's wrong.

Oh, and Magnetite? That's your demon fuel—run out mid-dungeon and your summoned buddies just peace out. Nothing like watching your fire-breathing dragon vanish because you got careless with resources. The whole thing's dripping with this oppressive atmosphere where every alleyway feels like it's hiding some new horror. Still holds up as one of the weirdest, most ambitious RPGs on the SNES.
