Game Overview

SimCity 2000: CD Collection is basically the ultimate version of the game that ruined my productivity in the '90s. You start by zoning empty land, laying down roads, and praying your power grid doesn’t collapse—until, of course, a UFO or earthquake decides to wreck everything. The disasters pack is brutal in the best way, and the Urban Renewal Kit lets you go wild designing weird skyscrapers (I may have built a city entirely out of giant pyramids once).

The isometric view makes it feel way more alive than the first SimCity, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about watching tiny pixel people complain about taxes while you bankrupt the city funding a subway system. The CD version throws in extra scenarios and tools, so if you’ve ever wanted to micromanage sewage budgets while a tornado rips through downtown, this is your chance.

It’s still one of those games where you blink and suddenly it’s 3 AM because you just had to fix one more traffic jam.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
