Game Overview

Simple DS Series Vol. 32 - The Zombie Crisis is exactly what it sounds like: a no-frills, bite-sized zombie survival game for the DS. You start off in some ruined city with nothing but a rusty pipe, and within minutes, you're smacking shuffling undead while scrambling for food and ammo. The controls are basic—d-pad movement, touchscreen for inventory—but there's something weirdly satisfying about how straightforward it is.

Don't expect deep storytelling or fancy graphics. The zombies look like pixelated blobs, and half the time you're just digging through dumpsters for scraps. But when you finally find a shotgun and clear a room full of them? Feels good. The tension ramps up when you realize your flashlight batteries are dying, and yeah, you can absolutely get cornered if you're not careful.

It's janky, it's Japanese-only (so good luck if you don't know katakana), and honestly, I got stuck on one level for way too long. But if you're into that old-school, "figure it out yourself" kind of survival game, this weird little DS title might just scratch that itch.
