Skunny Kart came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Microïds. It was one of those early kart racers that tried to capture some of the magic from bigger titles, but with a distinctly low-budget, European PC gaming charm. You raced as characters from the Skunny comic series, which gave it a quirky, almost underground feel compared to the more polished racers of the time.

You control one of several animal characters, each with their own kart, and race through themed tracks filled with obstacles and items. The main goal is straightforward: finish first. You can pick up weapons like banana peels to drop behind you or speed boosts to shoot ahead, and the tracks are tight, with sharp turns that demand careful handling. The physics are slippery and unpredictable, which makes every race feel a bit chaotic. It’s not a smooth experience, but there’s a clumsy energy to it that keeps you coming back for just one more try.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
