Game Overview

Okay, so Sonic Colours on DS is basically what happens when you take classic Sonic speed, throw in some wild power-ups, and crank the colors up to neon. You're blasting through these space-themed amusement parks (because Eggman somehow thought that'd be a good evil plan), dodging loops and enemies like always—but then you grab a Wisp and suddenly you're drilling underground or floating like a ghost. It's chaotic in the best way.

The DS version actually holds up surprisingly well—the 3D sections feel smooth, and the 2D bits nail that old-school Sonic flow. My first run through Sweet Mountain had me wiping out on candy-coated spikes at least three times before I got the rhythm down. You'll probably do the same, but that's half the fun.

It's not just about going fast, either. Some of those Wisp powers make you stop and think for a second, especially when you're trying to reach hidden red rings. Just don't blame me when you get the laser Wisp stuck in your head for days afterward.
